Christian Z (Chriz) was born in 1970 and, since childhood, has breathed in the scent of ink, watching with curious eyes his father’s skilled work, enchanted by the magic of typography. His hands touched the wood of frames, the lead letters took shape under his fingers, while inside him grew the awareness that the written word was much more than a simple sign: it is expression, it is identity, it is communicative power.
Yet Chriz felt the need to go beyond the traditional use of typographic letters: he wished to explore their boundaries, to transform them into images.
Ten years ago, he began his artistic experimentation, which found its first complete expression in his debut collection, WORDS – Invisible Codes: a profound fusion of word and figuration, matter and imagination.
For Chriz, 2025 opened as a period rich in appointments and prestigious international collaborations.
His exhibition journey began with his participation in World Art Dubai, a fair that brings together some of the most compelling voices in the global contemporary art scene.
Subsequently, his works were showcased at the Nicoleta Gallery in Berlin, confirming the German art scene’s strong interest in his research.
The artist then took center stage in a double engagement: in London, at the Espacio Gallery and Arrival Gallery, and in Italy, during the Volterra Art Week, where dialogue with the public expanded with new insights and connections.
The exhibition path culminated in Paris, within the spaces of the Parc André Citroën, one of the most evocative settings dedicated to international contemporary art.

Christian Z (Chriz) è nato nel 1970 e fin dall’infanzia ha respirato il profumo dell’inchiostro, osservando con occhi curiosi il sapiente lavoro del padre, incantato dalla magia della tipografia. Le sue mani sfioravano il legno delle cornici, le lettere in piombo prendevano forma sotto le sue dita, mentre dentro di lui cresceva la consapevolezza che la parola scritta fosse molto più di un semplice segno: è espressione, è identità, è potere comunicativo.
Chriz sentiva però il bisogno di spingersi oltre l’uso tradizionale delle lettere tipografiche: desiderava esplorarne i confini, trasformarle in immagini. Dieci anni fa ha iniziato le sue sperimentazioni artistiche, che hanno trovato compiuta espressione nella sua prima collezione, WORDS – Invisible Codes: una fusione profonda tra parola e figurazione, materia e immaginazione.
Il 2025 per Chriz si è aperto come un periodo denso di appuntamenti e prestigiose collaborazioni internazionali.
Il suo percorso espositivo ha preso avvio con la partecipazione a World Art Dubai, una fiera che riunisce alcune delle voci più interessanti dell’arte contemporanea globale.
Successivamente, le sue opere hanno trovato spazio alla Nicoleta Gallery di Berlino, confermando l’attenzione della scena tedesca verso la sua ricerca.
In seguito, l’artista è stato protagonista di un doppio appuntamento: a Londra, presso la Espacio Gallery e Arrival Gallery, e in Italia, durante la Volterra Art Week, dove il dialogo con il pubblico si è arricchito di nuovi spunti e connessioni.
Il percorso espositivo è culminato a Parigi, negli spazi del Parc André Citroën, una delle cornici più suggestive dedicate all’arte contemporanea internazionale.
